Derek McMillan


Centennial Living was established by Derek McMillan, who is recognised and highly regarded for his extensive experience and expertise in the sector. He was the CEO of the mutual organisation Australian Unity Retirement Living for over a decade and served on several boards during that time. Derek has recently retired from the board of the National Ageing Research Institute, having served as Vice President for 9 years. He has also served as Chairman of the Retirement Living Council, Vice-President of the Retirement Villages Association, and a Director of Leading Aged Services Australia (Vic).

Tony Connon


Tony is the co-founder of Centennial Living and a highly experienced and respected Finance Director. With a career spanning over 20 years in CFO and Financial Controller roles for major Australian companies. He has also been a director or board member of a large number of commercial and non-commercial organisations.

Merryn Bray

General Manager, Marketing & Community Engagement

With a celebrated career in the health and wellbeing sectors at various Australian commercial, not-for-profit and mutual organisations, Merryn worked with Derek & Tony at Australian Unity and brings a rare level of leadership and innovation to the marketing team at Centennial Living. In many ways, her role goes beyond traditional marketing to encompass service development—her focus is on delivering an outstanding product to ensure that the customer experience is second to none.

Richard Gallina

General Manager Finance and Operations

Richard is a forward thinking commercially minded manager with over 15 years business experience and a strong background in accounting, risk, operational systems, management methodologies and stakeholder collaboration. An organised and meticulous manager, Richard consistently identifies strategic insights that drive commercial improvements, and sustainable growth. Richard is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of older Australians.
