It’s fair to say that being part of the community here comes naturally. The residents here have a reputation for being very friendly and social, and there are nearly always things happening and people around. It’s easy to strike up a conversation or join in with what’s going on with regular get-togethers, including weekly dinners, add to the vibrant atmosphere.
Most importantly, you can join in as much or as little as you like. It’s entirely up to you, and your privacy is always respected. Much the same is true at each of Burnside Village’s sister communities in Taylors Hill Retirement Village and Keilor Retirement Village.
Enjoy a holiday lifestyle every day.
Staying physically and mentally active is one of the keys to maintaining your well being into old age, and it’s certainly easy to stay busy here. You can join in exercise classes or a game of bowls, have a swim, or follow the walking tracks around the many nearby parklands and Kororoit Creek wetlands. There is also a huge variety of stimulating classes, concerts, interest groups, social gatherings and outings.
Apart from all the opportunities to get involved with life inside the village, we are perfectly positioned to make just about everything in and around Melbourne easily accessible, too.
There are villas, condominiums and serviced apartments available, all of which have been designed to be stylish, comfortable and senior friendly. The two bedroom villas have bright, open-plan living spaces, well-appointed kitchens, bathrooms and a private courtyard or terrace. Both bedrooms have built-in wardrobes. Each unit also has its own car park space.
The apartments have one bedroom and a study, a large kitchen and generous living space opening onto a balcony or patio. They also feature walk-in wardrobes and en-suite bathrooms.
Convenience is a key to the lifestyle here, with Burnside Hub Shopping Centre, which includes a choice of supermarkets, a discount chemist, a medical centre and many other shops and services, right next door.
Other major Shopping Centres, an array of cafés and restaurants, sporting and social clubs, parks and reserves are also within easy reach.
If you want to venture further afield, Burnside Village is just off the Western Ring Road near Caroline Springs and excellent public transport options are available.
Spacious studio serviced apartments are a great option for those who want to continue living independently with a little extra assistance. Three delicious meals are provided daily, with a weekly cleaning and laundry service as well.
So there is more time to relax and make the most of the day. Ranging in size from a studio to two bedrooms, each apartment includes a kitchenette and separate bathroom.
Meet Sophie, a lovely resident of Burnside Retirement Village for over two years.
When health concerns led her to seek additional support, she opted for a serviced apartment. What she enjoys the most about living in a serviced apartment are the chef-prepared meals! With a background in sales, admin, and waitressing, Sophie knows the importance of having a good people around.
She’s all about that community life, finding comfort in the connections that become even more crucial as time goes on. Her week is packed with exciting activities like aerobics, lawn bowling, indoor bowling, gardening, puzzles, and game days. What she looks forward to the most are the upcoming dinner dances at the village. Here’s to Sophie, adding a touch of warmth, laughter, and genuine connection to our community every day!
“As power of attorney for my father after he had a stroke I had to organise upgrading of his care at Burnside Retirement Village. My dealings with Centennial Living in the sale of his previous unit to his new serviced apartment was thoroughly professional. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Centennial Living to any prospective purchasers.”
